Business Executive Forum features PA Speaker of the House Rep. Mike Turzai T he Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Rep. Mike Turzai, PA Speaker of the House, will be the speaker at our Business Executive Forum . The event is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Schuylkill Country Club, 877 W. Market St., Orwigsburg. Representative Turzai was unanimously elected Speaker of the House on January 6, 2015 by his House Colleagues; he is now in his eighth term in the Pennsylvania hard to control government spending in or- der to reduce taxes on families and business. He quickly focused his efforts on helping hard-working families, making Pennsylvania more competitive for private-sector job creators and cutting government waste, fraud and abuse. Working to attract new business to the Com- monwealth and help employers expand their operations to improve job creation and career opportunities, Mike continues to spearhead efforts to lower the cost of doing business in Pennsylvania. As a result of his leadership, Mike was twice elected by his peers to serve as Majority Leader for the House Republican Caucus. He was the floor leader from 2011 to 2014.
