YEA! Schuylkill Saunders Scholar Chosen The Young Entrepreneurs Academy Schuylkill held its Investor Panel on Tuesday, March 27 at Penn State Schuylkill. The panel of 10 Investors had the opportunity to hear the “pitch” from the aspiring entrepreneurs and award real money to the entrepreneurs to help them launch their business. A total purse of $9,000 was available to the investors to award. The Saunders Scholar winner was Lily Stoyer with Project Love, a matchmaking web-page for donors, charities and recipients. Project Love is an advertising board for the nonprofits in Schuylkill County to help Schuylkill County residents find the best place they fit in while providing a way to ensure that their generosity stays at home. As the Saunders Scholar winner, Lily will be the Schuylkill County representative of YEA! at the Saunders Scholar semi-finals in Rochester, NY on May 4, 2018. Upcoming events for YEA! Schuylkill include the Trade Show on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. outside of Vito’s Coal Fired Pizza at Coal Creek Plaza. YEA! student entrepreneurs will be on hand with their ventures, taking orders and selling product. The YEA! Schuylkill Class of 2018 will graduate on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Penn State Schuylkill Health & Wellness Building. YEA!
